YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
In dichloromethane; ethyl acetate; EXAMPLE 1 (IA-1) STR343 26.1 g (0.1 mol) of methyl 2-chlorosulphonylbenzoate are added to a solution of 4.75 g (0.025 mol) of 1-(4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidin-2-yl)-3-amino-triazole in 100 ml of methylene chloride, the mixture is cooled to -5 C., and 11.2 g (0.1 mol) of diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, dissolved in 40 ml of methylene chloride, are added dropwise at -5 C. to 0 C. The reaction mixture is stirred for 2 days at room temperature (20 C.) and then washed with water; the methylene chloride phase is separated off, dried over sodium sulphate, filtered and concentrated. The oily residue can be crystallized using ethyl acetate. The residue is filtered off with suction and dried, and 6.6 g (45% of theory) of 1-(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(N,N-bis-(2-methoxycarbonyl-phenylsulphonyl)-aminotriazole remain as colorless crystals of melting point 209-212 C.
