YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With sodium hydrogencarbonate; In water; To a stirring 4. 5M solution of NaHCO3 is added 8-Aza-bicyclo [3.2. 1] octan-3-one hydrochloride (9. 0g, 55MMOL, Scheme 5) followed by BOC anhydride (17. 6ML, 82. 5MMOL). The reaction mixture is heated to 50°C and stirred for 16 hours. Upon completion (TLC), the reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature and washed three times with ethyl acetate. Organics are combined washed with brine and dried over magnesium sulfate. Column chromatography (heptane/ethyl acetate, 9/1) gave a pale yellow oil as product (Yield: 6.2g, 27. 5MMOL).
