YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With triethylamine; In dichloromethane; at 0 - 20℃; for 12h; General procedure: 2-phenyl quinoline-3-formic acid (0.2 g, 0.8 mmol) reacted withSOCl2 (0.3 ml, 4 mmol) and DMF (2-3 drops) in dichloromethane(10 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at 40 C for 2 h, The reactionmixture was monitored by TLC and concentrated in vacuo. Theproduct was dissolved in dichloromethane (10 ml) at 0 C, anddropping Et3N until white smoke disappeared. The gammaaminobutyric acid (0.08 g, 0.8 mmol) was added into the mixturesolution and stirring at room temperature for 12 h, then addingEDCI (0.17 g, 0.88 mmol) and a catalytic amount of DMAP, stirringfor 2 h, The reaction mixture was monitored by TLC and concentratedin vacuo. The residue was purified by flash column chromatographyon silica gel using ethyl petroleum/ethyl (1:1) aseluent to obtain 35-38.
