YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
In dichloromethane; EXAMPLE XIX 6-(4-Cyanophenyl)-3-[4-[2-(methoxycarbonyl)-ethyl]-phenylamino]-pyridazine 0.60 g of 3-chloro-6-(4-cyanophenyl)-pyridazine are heated to 140-150 C. for 1.5 hours with 1.70 g of [35418-07-6]4-[2-(methoxycarbonyl)-ethyl]-aniline. The cooled melt is dissolved in methylene chloride and the organic phase is extracted with 1N sodium hydroxide solution. Drying the organic phase over sodium sulphate and evaporating off the solvent yields a solid which is chromatographed over silica gel. Yield: 1.80 g (95% of theory), Melting point: 212-217 C., Rf value: 0.34 (silica gel; methylene chloride/methanol=20:1)
