99%	With pyridine; In dichloromethane; at 20℃; for 18h;	To a stirred solution of 5.5 g (0.023 mol) Cbz-protected (S)-prolinol in 20 mL of pyridine a solution of 3.2 g(0.028 mol) TsCl in 20 mL of CH2Cl2 was added dropwise at 0°C. The reaction mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature and was stirred for further 18 h. The mixture was diluted with 50 mL of water, then the resulted mixture was extracted with CH2Cl2 (3 × 20 mL). The combined organic layers was washed with 1M HCl solution (2 × 25 mL) and brine (2 × 20 mL) then dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuum to give the Cbz-protected (S)-prolinol tosylate (7.3 g, 99percent yield). Then the tosylate was dissolved in 10 mL of corresponding beta-aminoalcohol. The reaction mixture was stirred at 50°C for 24 h. The excess amide was removed by vacuum distillation and the residue was chromatographed to give corresponding Cbz derivative. The crude product was dissolved in EtOH (20 mL) and 0.1 g of Pd/C (10percent) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature under H2 (1 atm) overnight. Pd/C was filtered off and the solution was concentrated in vacuum. The residue was purified by flash chromatograhy on silica gel to give the desired product 2.

The mixture was poured onto water and diethyl ether (Et2O). The aqueous layer was separated and the organic layer was washed with saturated aqueous NaHCO3 followed by brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated. Flash chromatography on SiO2 (gradient: 100percent hexanes to 20percent EtOAc/hexanes) afforded the title compound (0.85 g, 66percent) as a colorless oil. LC-MS (ES) m/z = 390 [M+H]+.
